Divisions

Divisions are designed to divide the system into logical partitions. Both Zones and Devices can belong to a zone. Users can be restricted to see zones and devices only in divisions they have access to.

Most organizations will use Divisions that match either their Location or Department structure. For example, you may want an New York division for all your devices and zones that belong to the New York office. Or, you may want a Marketing division for all of the zones that Marketing is responsible for.

Devices and their assigned zone must be in the same division.

Device

The playback device that will display the zone content on a TV or monitor.

Zones

Zones contain the list of content that will show on a device or display. Content can be added and removed from a zone. Devices will be assigned a zone to play.

Content

Content is the items within a zone. Content can be an image, video, livestream, etc.

There are two different types of content:

Static content

Static content is content that is uploaded once and never changes on its own. In order to update the content, you will have to delete the item and re-upload a modified version. An example would be a video file.

Dynamic content

Dynamic content is content that is uploaded or added once, and can change in the background on its own. An example would be a calendar view or live stream. These items change their content without any user interaction on a set schedule.
