Configure Single Sign On (SSO)

Exceed Cast allows you to use common and custom Single Sign On (SSO) providers for authenticating your organization's users. You must have added a domain and verified it before you can configure Single Sign On.

Global Administrators can always sign in using SSO or a password when SSO is configured. This is to allow recovery in case the SSO connection is broken. Once SSO is configured as required for a domain, regular users with that domain can no longer sign in using a password.

Use Google Workspace

Exceed Cast automatically configures SSO with Google Workspace. If your organization uses Google Workspace, navigate to the SSO Providers page, and assign your domain to Google OAuth. Your users are now able to use Google to sign in to Exceed Cast.

To skip some Google sign in pages when users log on, you can follow the steps to configure domain wide delegation, which also optimizes the process of linking Google Drive.

Use Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure AD)

Exceed Cast automatically configures SSO with Microsoft Entra. If your organization uses Microsoft Entra for identity, navigate to the SSO Providers page, and assign your domain to Microsoft OAuth. Your users are now able to use Microsoft Entra to sign in to Exceed Cast.

The first time a user signs into Exceed Cast, they will prompted by Microsoft for consent to share their user data. As the Microsoft Entra administrator, you can provide Admin Consent, which will skip this process for your users. This will result in a faster, simpler, SSO process with Entra.

To configure Admin Consent, log out of your Exceed Cast account after configuring Microsoft OAuth. On the sign in page, click the Microsoft button. On the Consent screen from Microsoft, check the Consent on behalf of your organization box, then click Accept. You have now provided Admin Consent. The next user to sign in will not be prompted by Microsoft for consent.
