Network Requirements

Exceed Cast Portal​

Domains​

Users of the Exceed Cast web portal will need access to the following domains:

  • exceedcast.com
  • docs.exceedcast.com
  • app.exceedcast.com
  • content-cdn.exceedcast.com

SSL/TLS Decryption​

SSL/TLS Decryption should not cause any issues assuming the user's browser is properly configured to trust the SSL decryption appliance.

Exceed Cast Players​

Domains​

Devices running the Exceed Cast player apps will need access to the following domains:

  • tv-api.exceedcast.com
  • content-cdn.exceedcast.com

SSL/TLS Decryption​

SSL/TLS Decryption is not supported on Standalone Apple TVs.

SSL/TLS Decryption is supported on MDM-Managed Apple TVs with the SSL decryption appliance's certificate pushed and trusted by the MDM server. The player apps do not use certificate pinning and will accept any server certificates are considered valid by the device's operating system.

Offline Mode​

The player apps will cache the last loaded content locally, and will continuing showing that content for 24 hours after the device loses network connection. Some content types can not be cached locally, and will be skipped in the playlist while offline.
