Apple TV Troubleshooting

First, connect a macOS laptop to the same Layer 2 network as your display Apple TV.

Then, open the Console application. On the left sidebar, you should see the name of your Apple TV device after a few seconds.

Click the Apple TV in the left sidebar, then click Start streaming in the middle of the window. If you are troubleshooting an issue with support, be sure to check Include Info Messages and Include Debug Messages under the Actions menu.

You can use the filter SUBSYSTEM: ch.exceedte.ExceedCast to only show logs from the Exceed Cast application. To set the filter, enter ch.exceedte.ExceedCast in the search box then press return. You will see ANY: ch.exceedte.ExceedCast in the box. You can right-click the word ANY to change it to SUBSYSTEM.

You may be asked by support to save and send these logs to help troubleshoot playback issues.
