Configure Single Sign On (SSO)
Exceed Cast allows you to use common and custom Single Sign On (SSO) providers for authenticating your organization's users. You must have added a domain and verified it before you can configure Single Sign On.
Global Administrators can always sign in using a password when SSO is configured. This is to allow recovery in case the SSO connection is broken. Once SSO is configured as required for a domain, non-administrative users with that domain can no longer sign in using a password.
Built-in integrations
Exceed Cast includes two built-in sign on integrations, Google Workspace and Microsoft Entra (formely known as Azure AD). These integrations are built on OpenID Connect and OAuth, which is an alternative standard for SSO similar to SAML 2.0. These integrations do not require any special configuration on either side, and can be enabled in your Exceed Cast account with a few clicks.
See the documentation for configuring SSO with Google Workspace or configuring SSO with Microsoft Entra for more details.
Use a SAML provider
Many well-known and custom SSO providers that are complaint with the SAML 2.0 standard are supported.
Exceed Cast supports both IDP-initiated and SP-initiated SSO using SAML 2.0. Exceed Cast also supports IDP-initiated single log out using SAML 2.0 when the feature is available on the identity provider. Exceed Cast does not support or trigger SP-initiated single log out.
Examples in the documentation are provided for many common providers:
